Educon Conference 2023 in Finland
Sakal Educon an initiative by Sakal Media Group, which aims to provide a platform for Indian universities to explore foreign education systems, enabling them to provide courses meeting international standards. This year the conference was held in Helsinki, Finland, from September 4thto 7th 2023, in collaboration with the Council for Creative Education (CCE). Around 23 Indian delegates from various Indian universities attended the conference.
The four day international conference started with insightful session and discussions from notable figures like Prof. Jarmo Takala, Prof. Mikko Ruohonen, and Padmashree Prof. Prataprao Pawar, emphasizing transformative education and collaboration. Delegates also visited laboratories and educational institutions to witness skill-based education delivery.
The second day featured discussion on entrepreneurship education, deep tech start-ups, and innovative pedagogical approaches. It focused on building an entrepreneur friendly ecosystem in the universities to foster future business development.
The following day, attendees explored LUT University, gaining insights into innovation and educational excellence. The day featured presentations on sustainability, research partnerships, and digital transformation. Attendees had the opportunity to experience the Andritz laboratory cooperation, showcasing innovative developments in pulp and paper technology.
The final day focused on the future of education in Finland, development cooperation, and reflections. Notable discussions included India-Finland partnerships and the future of creative education. Mr. Raveesh Kumar, the Ambassador of India to Finland, discussed the partnership in futuristic education, concluding the conference.
Overall the four day conference provided a platform for international collaboration and knowledge sharing among educational institutions, fostering innovation and excellence in education.
